We're Hiring: Factory Automation Engineer (Monterrey & Mexico City)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Factory Automation Engineer to join our fast-paced team at the intersection of technology and manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions across production lines, with a strong focus on mechanical design, control systems, and hardware installation.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact projects throughout Latin America. Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee electrical and network installations in accordance with project requirements and safety standards
Implement automation strategies defined by the Solution Architect to enhance production line performance and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical improvements in manufacturing processes
Configure and support automation systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
Instrument production equipment to enable efficient data collection for monitoring and analytics
Create and maintain technical documentation and system designs using AutoCAD
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to ensure system reliability and performance
Provide hands-on technical support and training to end-users and client teams
Maintain clear documentation of all implemented solutions, configurations, and updates for future reference and continuous improvement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD for system design and documentation
Strong experience with electrical installations and network configurations
Knowledge of communication protocols, especially Siemens-related systems
Demonstrated experience in implementing automation and manufacturing solutions
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication for effective collaboration across teams
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to system accuracy and documentation
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)
Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time to client sites across Latin America (e.g., Argentina, Chile, Brazil)
Availability for 30% on-site/in-office work when not traveling

This role is open to candidates located in Monterrey or Mexico City only.
