A well-established and expanding logistics provider is looking for an Ocean Import Sales Specialist with background in ocean freight and U.S.–Colombia trade. This is a great opportunity for sales professionals in the freight forwarding industry who are ready to grow and take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new business opportunities for ocean imports from the U.S. to Colombia

• Build and manage long-term client relationships

• Negotiate competitive rates with ocean carriers and NVOCCs

• Coordinate with internal operations and documentation teams to ensure seamless freight movement

• Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to clients

• Stay up to date on Incoterms, international trade regulations, and Colombian customs procedures

• Prepare and present tailored proposals to prospective clients

• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Ideal Candidate:

• 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or brokerage (focused on ocean imports)

• Proven success in sales or business development roles

• Familiar with U.S.–Latin America trade lanes

• Experience working with Colombian importers and understanding of customs clearance processes

• Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (required)

• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Self-motivated, independent, and goal-oriented

Conditions:

• Location: On-site position in Barranquilla, Colombia

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (in-office)

• Contract type: Permanent full-time position.
