๐ We're Hiring: Head of Technical Sales (Europe-Based)
๐ Location: Remote (Europe) + Customer Visits as Required
๐ผ Industry: Carbon Black / Specialty Chemicals / Rubber Applications
An established global player in the specialty chemicals sector is looking for a Head of Technical Sales to support and expand our presence across international markets. The role will blend 40% technical expertise with 60% business development to drive innovation, customer success, and new business growth.
๐ง Key Responsibilities:
Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide product support.
Lead product/application development initiatives in collaboration with internal teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Process Technology).
Conduct on-site trials, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth product integration.
Deliver training sessions for customers, sales teams, and partners.
Coordinate with marketing for product launches and customer engagement.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with current and prospective clients.
Gather and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activities and emerging applications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with large corporate clients in the rubber and tire industries.
๐ Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, with at least 5โ6 years working with large corporate clients.
Strong background in technical sales and support, especially in carbon black or related industries.
Masterโs degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business).
Prior experience with carbon black manufacturers or distributors is mandatory.
Solid technical knowledge of rubber black and related applications.
Excellent networking capabilities across international markets.
Fluent in English (spoken and written) โ mandatory.
German language proficiency โ mandatory.
Must hold citizenship, work permit, or visa that allows employment in Europe.
Must be open to regular travel across Europe.
